4 days Gorilla Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.

You will be picked up by our representative who will transfer you to a hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Depending on your time of arrival, you may have some activities to explore sights in and around Kampala.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Forest in the south western part of Uganda. En route stop over at the local drum shops at Mpambire; see the local fruit market, cross the equator line at Nabusanke. Proceeding en-route, expect to see the long curving horned cattle of Ankole.
Lunch in Kabale town.
Dinner and overnight Buhoma / Rushaga.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in the Forest.

Wake up by 6:30 am and have breakfast at 7:00 am. We shall have to go with our packed lunch. We may spend a full day with the gorillas. At 7:30 am we shall assemble at the park headquarters for a morning brief about the gorilla tracking rules, from the park staff. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions. You may see the gorillas within1-6 hours depending on their movement in the forest. You will spend one hour with the gorillas observing them closely while they eat, play and rest. The park staff will also assist you get porters for carrying our packed lunch.
Return in the evening for dinner and over night.

Day 4: Departure.

After early breakfast we shall go for a 2-hour village walk before returning to Kampala or Entebbe airport. Lunch en-route.

5 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tour

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park, lunch enroute.

Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Guest Cottages.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk.

Early morning transfer to Kanyanchu tourist center. Kibale forest hosts the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. A guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, will give you opportunity to see other primates such as red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many other primates. The guide will also be telling you various facts about the flora and fauna of the forest. There are organized visits to the chimps twice daily. A maximum of three groups with a maximum of six visitors per group are allowed per shift.

In the afternoon visit to the Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk expecting to see other primates and plenty of bird species. The other option will be a visit to the Top of the World- Kasenda crater lakes or Chimpanzee Habituation Experience where you see the Chimpanzee nesting and de-nesting.

Day 3: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

We shall pass via the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth Park in anticipation of seeing tree climbing lions.
Dinner and overnight in Buhoma / Rushaga.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Habituation experience

Early morning at 5:30 am transfer to Kanyanchu tourist center in Kibale National Park. Kibale forest hosts the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. A guided Chimpanzee habituation experience in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, will give you opportunity to stay with the Chimps for longer hours. You can see the chimps de-nesting (coming out of their nocturnal nests) between 05:30 – 06:30 am and stay with them during the day until they create new nests and retire for night around 6:00 am .The activity provides opportunities for tourists to spend more time with the chimps and learn more about their behaviors by making data recording on each of the chimpazees. You can also see other primates such as red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many other primates which will enhance your tourism experience, the guide will also be telling you various facts about the flora and fauna of the forest. A maximum of six visitors per group are allowed per shift.

Day 6: Gorilla Habituation Experience

Spend four hours with a group of gorillas in the Rushaga sector in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe

After breakfast, we shall transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe for your outbound flight back home. Lunch en-route.

13 Days Uganda Tour

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport.

You will be picked from the airport by our representative who will transfer you to a hotel for dinner and overnight. Depending on the time of arrival, you may have some activities to explore sights in and around Kampala.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park.

After breakfast depart for Murchison Falls National Park with an optional stop over at Ziwa Farm. Lunch en-route.
Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Red Chilli Rest Camp/Murchison River Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari.

After an early morning breakfast we shall head for a 4–5-hour game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, escorted by a ranger guide. Expect to see elephant, Rothschild giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis, waterbucks and a variety of Savannah woodland birds.
After lunch we shall depart for a 3-hour Boat launch trip up-stream towards the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Hippos, Nile Crocodiles and plenty of bird-life will be seen. You might also see elephants drinking at the water edge.
Return to the Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Visit the Top of the Falls – Hoima.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Falls where you will enjoy the 40m wide Nile River being forced into a seven meter gap, 43 meters below. This spectacular scenery can be viewed from different points. After lunch we shall depart to Hoima via Bulisa gate where you can see the Escarpment and the oil exploration area.
Dinner and overnight Hoima town.

Day 5: Kibale National Park.

Transfer to Fort Portal, this drive takes eight hours. En route Fort Portal expect to see beautiful views of tea plantations.
Dinner and Overnight Kibale Guest Cottages.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk/optional Crater Lake Hike.

Early morning transfer to Kanyanchu tourist center in Kibale National Park. This forest hosts the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Expect a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, this will give you opportunity to see other primates such as red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many other primates to enhance your tourism experience. The guide will also be telling you various facts about the flora and fauna of the forest. There are organized visits to the chimps twice daily and a maximum of three groups with a maximum of six visitors per group are allowed per shift.

In the afternoon visit Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk expecting to see other primates and plenty of bird species. The other option will be a visit to the Kasenda crater lakes.
Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The route to Queen Elizabeth Park via Kasese, with the Rwenzori Mountains on your right side will enhance our visit to the park. A game drive on our way to the National Park will give you the chance to see waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife.
Dinner and Overnight Mweya Safari Lodge/Buffalo Lodge or Marafiki Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Game Safari and Boat Cruise or optional Balloon Safari.

After early morning breakfast at 6:30 am we shall depart for our morning game drive to the northern shore of Kazinga channel. The most common mammals we are likely to see are Warthogs, bushbuck and water bucks while elephants can be seen crossing the tracks. There is the Leopard track which may give us opportunity to see leopards and the kasenyi plains will give us higher chances of encountering lions. Return by Mid-day at the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon we shall take a 2 hour and 34km long Kazinga channel boat cruise, one of the most rewarding tour experiences in Queen Elizabeth Park giving you the opportunity to approach within a few meters a multitude of yawning hippos, elephants teaming with egrets, yellow billed storks, Goliath heron, crocodiles, buffaloes and the occasional leopards. The bird life on the water is fascinating. Expect to see dozens of water birds such as pied kingfisher and many bee-eaters

Return for dinner and overnight in the evening.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

We shall have morning game drive via Ishasha sector in anticipation of seeing tree climbing lions.
Dinner and overnight in Buhoma/Rushaga.

Day 10: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest.

Wake up by 6:30 am and have breakfast at 7:00 am. We shall have to go with our packed lunch. We may spend a full day with the gorillas. Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

After breakfast, transfer to lake Mburo National Park. Lunch en-route. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive to see wildlife and other activities available.
Dinner and overnight at Mihingo/Rwokobo Lodge.

Day 12: Transfer to Entebbe.

Early morning game drive / Boat Safari/Horse back riding / quad biking. Lunch at the Lodge and in the afternoon drive back to Entebbe for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Departure.
